Energy Action Coalition and its partners are hosting a training this fall to prepare young leaders to launch and lead our Power Vote 2010 campaign. Together we'll gain the skills and know how to organize around the elections and our local issues. The hundreds of people who attend the training will go back to their communities to run local campaigns that together will demonstrate that young people demand clean and just energy, and are getting to work in their communities to build power, support and progress for it.
POWER VOTE TRAINING
From August 4th - 7th we'll come together in Chicago where the Little Village Environmental Justice Organization and other partners are working to transition their communities away from dirty energy by replacing two old and dirty coal plants with clean energy and green jobs. We'll spend the first couple of days learning critical leadership and campaigning skills, and then we'll put them to use organizing a community festival and coal plant action to launch our campaign. We'll all leave Chicago trained and ready to take the action back to our own communities and campuses!
